Substance Abuse Counseling
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Heroin use has increased across the US among men and women, most age groups, and all income levels. More than 9 in 10 people who used heroin also used at least one other drug. 45% of people who used heroin were also addicted to prescription opioid painkillers.”
Multiple studies have concluded that numerous patients with mental health conditions have one or more concurrent substance abuse disorder, as well as that patients with such disorders are more vulnerable to developing psychiatric and medical conditions.
CMHS originated with a desire to combat the proliferation of untreated mental health conditions, the epidemic of opioid addiction and overdose, and increasing suicide rates in our communities. CMHS strives to integrate awareness of concurrent substance-related issues in adults and families.
Mental illness and drug addiction increasingly affect society. At CMHS, we are committed to help our clients to overcome their struggles and addictions by combining evidence-based treatment and intensive counseling. Our Substance Abuse and Addiction Treatment Center staff will provide professionally directed evaluation, treatment, and recovery services to individuals with substance abuse disorders. Highly qualified, licensed, independent practitioners and certified alcohol and addiction counselors provide interventions in both individual and group modalities.
